Wer hätte das gedacht, aber die September-Illustration ist bisher unser Lieblings-Titelblatt-Illustration. Und dabei können wir nicht mal genau sagen, woran es liegt … an den Farben? Weil der Herbst so eine schöne Jahreszeit ist?
Oder wegen der vielen tollen Termine, die diesen Monat stattfinden? Es passt ja nie alles auf’s Titelblatt, was so passiert. Z.B. ist diesen Monat erstmals seit Corona-Ausbruch wieder eine Comicmesse, nämlich die Comicinvasion in Berlin. Da wären wir sehr, sehr gern auch hingefahren, aber wir haben momentan zu viel zu tun. Aber wir schauen uns das Online-Programm an – einer der wenigen, positiven Nebeneffekte der Pandemie, dass jetzt so viele Veranstaltungen aufgezeichnet werden und man online live teilnehmen kann.^^
Eine unserer coolsten Inspirationsquellen für die monatlichen Titel-Illustrationen ist übrigens die Website „kuriose Feiertage„. Da findet man immer etwas, was man sofort zeichnen möchte. Von dem Hobbittag hatten wir noch die etwas gehört – das ist nämlich der Doppel-Geburtstagstag von Bilbo und Frodo Beutlin! Und da wir große Fantasy- und besonders Herr-der-Ringe-Fans sind, mussten wir natürlich einen Hobbit zeichnen. 😀 Der rote Panda wiederum ist eines der Lieblingstiere unseres Sohnes. September Cover illustration for bullet journals and calendars
Who would have thought it, but the September illustration is our favourite cover illustration so far. And we can’t even say exactly what the reason is… the colours? Because autumn is such a beautiful season? Or because of all the great events taking place this month? We can never get everything that’s going on on the front page. For example, there’s a comic fair this month for the first time since the pandemic startet, namely Comicinvasion in Berlin. We would have loved to go there, but we have too much work to do at the moment. But we’ll have watch the online programme – one of the few, positive side effects of the pandemic is that so many events are now recorded and you can participate live online.^^
By the way, one of our coolest sources of inspiration for the monthly cover illustrations is the website „kuriose Feiertage„. You always find something there that you want to draw immediately. We hadn’t heard of Hobbit Day yet – that’s the double birthday of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins! And since we are big fans of fantasy and especially Lord of the Rings, we had to draw a hobbit, of course. 😀 The red panda, on the other hand, is one of our son’s favourite animals.
