Wenn man viel zu tun hat, kann es sein, dass einen die Zeit überholt, und ehe man sich versieht ist Juni – sogar schon der 2.! Eigentlich wollten wir ja immer zum 1. des Monats unsere Kalender-Titelbilder posten … Aber wenn man nichts mehr vorproduziert hat, wird’s immer knapp. Diese Kalenderbilder sind nämlich nicht schnell gemacht. An jedem einzelnen dieser monatlichen Motive (Start der Serie war hier) haben wir mindestens 3 Tage gearbeitet:
3-4 Stunden Themen- & Bildrecherche, die Skizze dauert 1 Tag, die Reinzechnung auch und für die Kolorierung kann man auch noch mal 4 Stunden ansetzen. Und das kreisförmige Layout ist eine zusätzliche Herausforderung. Wobei wir nicht mal mehr wissen, warum wir uns den Kreis ausgesucht haben. :’D Ein Quadrat wäre auch gegangen …? Vermutlich, weil wir später aus allen Monatstitelbilder mal ein Bullet Journal machen wollen. Und da sind die Monatsblätter oft kreisförmig.

Genau aus dem Grund, dass man sich auf das Journaling konzentrieren kann und das Bullet Journal nicht zum Kunstprojekt ausartet – es aber trotzdem schön wird, zeichnen wir nämlich unsere Monatsblätter – sozusagen für euch im voraus!^^ … Hoffen wir mal, dass die nächste Monatsillustration wieder pünktlich fertig wird. Egal wie viel wir gerade zu tun haben. Drückt uns die Daumen und kommentiert doch gerne auf Instagram oder Twitter, was ihr den Juni über so macht! 🙂

When you’re busy, time can overtake you and before you know it, it’s June – even the 2nd! Actually, we always wanted to post our calendar cover pictures on the 1st of the month … But if you don’t have anything pre-produced, you always run out of time. These calendar pictures are not quick to make. We worked on each of these monthly illustrations (start here) for at least 3 days:
3-4 hours of researching themes and images, the sketch takes 1 day, the final calculation also and you can add another 4 hours for the colouring. And the circular layout is an additional challenge. And we don’t even know why we chose the circle. :’D A square would also have worked …? Probably because we want to make a bullet journal out of all the monthly title pictures later on. And the monthly pages are often circular designed.

Exactly for the reason that you can concentrate on journaling and the bullet journal doesn’t degenerate into an art project – but it’s still beautiful, we draw our monthly sheets for you in advance! Let’s hope that next month’s illustration will be ready on time again. No matter how busy we are at the moment.
